It is now possible to watch Iceland’s Hekla volcano live on RUV’s website.  Iceland volcano The camera is run by the National Police, Fjarska, Gagnaveita Reykjavikur, Landsvirkjun and RUV and is designed primarily as an early warning system in the event of eruption to see lava and the direction of gas cloud travel. A secondary feature is, of course, as a great new webcam view which can be viewed at any time here: www.ruv.is/hekla. A similar webcam of the volcano Katla has already been available for a while and can be viewed at any time here: www.ruv.is/katla
